We have been so amazed with the progress our four-year-old daughter has made in her speech, all thanks to Desert Voices. Without the structure of Desert Voices, my daughter wouldn't be at the level she is at. People who meet Abby are amazed that she is deaf. By listening to her speak and without seeing the implant, most assume that she is a hearing child.

Desert Voices completely changed our entire lives. Our daughter learned how to speak and listen and is now in a mainstream first grade classroom. At our last parent/teacher conference they informed us that she is reading at a second grade reading level, 2.8! We will be forever grateful to the staff at Desert Voices; by teaching MaKenzie how to listen and talk, it opened up the entire world for her. We have been away from D.V. for almost 2 years now, but MaKenzie still talks about her teachers and friends she had there. The few years we spent driving her 100 miles round trip, back and forth to school, were well worth the sacrifice, because what she learned there will impact the rest of her life.
