Desert Voices to Continue the Hear for Kids program
Desert Voices is honored to announce it is assuming leadership of the Hear for Kids program, ensuring this vital resource continues for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families.
For 27 years, Hear for Kids was led with exceptional dedication by Lylis Olsen through the EAR Foundation of Arizona, helping countless children gain access to hearing healthcare resources, support, and opportunities that changed their lives.
As the program transitions, families can expect the same commitment to service, including the same structure of issuing hearing aids and vouchers to participating audiology clinics. This new chapter aligns naturally with Desert Voices' mission to empower children who are deaf or hard of hearing through listening and spoken language education, family support, and community partnerships.
Desert Voices is also pleased to share that funding for Hear for Kids will continue to be provided by the Vitalyst Health Foundation, ensuring uninterrupted support for the children and families who rely on these services.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Vitalyst Health Foundation for funding Hear for Kids for the next 3 years, and look forward to continuing the EAR Foundation of Arizona's legacy for years to come.
